The best of both worlds

River adventure by day. Desert magic by night.

Over five days, we’ll raft the iconic Colorado River through stunning canyons, swim in calm stretches, kayak and paddleboard in crystal-clear water, and ride the playful—but beginner-friendly—rapids that keep things fun without feeling too technical.

In between, we’ll camp under the desert stars, share stories around the fire, and enjoy elevated meals prepared by a private chef hired just for our group.

You don’t need rafting experience—just a sense of adventure. The river gives us calm water for relaxing and swimming, plus Class II–III rapids to keep things lively.

Optional hikes from camp let you explore more of the desert landscape, but this is not a hiking-heavy trip. Trek out with the group or kick back at camp with new friends and soak in the views.

Every detail is handled so you can focus on what matters most: adventure, connection, and an epic weekend you’ll never forget.

Getting to Moab & Trip FAQs

✈️ How do I get to Moab?

Canyonlands Field Airport (CNY) is about 20 minutes from town and offers limited flights, often connecting through Denver or Salt Lake City. Contour Airlines generally offers nonstop service from Denver.

Many travelers fly into Grand Junction, Colorado (GJT)—about a two-hour drive—or Salt Lake City (SLC)—about a four-hour drive—and rent a car or take a shuttle. Once you sign up, we’ll help with carpooling, shuttle options, and travel planning.

📍 Where is Moab?

Moab is a desert town in southeastern Utah, famous for red rock landscapes, outdoor adventure, and its location near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. It’s roughly four hours from Salt Lake City and six hours from Denver.

📏 How many miles will we paddle?

The full river section is about 41 miles over three days. Exact daily mileage depends on assigned campsites and river permits. Expect mellow floats, exciting rapids, and plenty of camp time.

💧 Are there showers on the river?

No—this is a true wilderness adventure. You can cool down with a dip in the Colorado River, and a hot shower will be waiting at the Moab hotel after the river trip.

🚻 What is the bathroom situation?

Our outfitter follows Leave No Trace practices. A clean, eco-friendly portable camp toilet will be set up in a private location at each campsite.

🛶 What is the sleeping situation?

We’ll camp beside the river in two-person tents. Private tents can be arranged on request. With guidance from the river crew, we’ll set up our tents together each evening.

⛺ Is all camping gear provided?

Yes. Tents, sleeping mats, pillows, and sleeping bags are included.

🍴 What is the food situation?

We’ve hired a private chef for the river portion. Expect hearty breakfasts, riverside lunches, hors d’oeuvres, and elevated dinners under the stars. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice.

🍷 Is alcohol included?

Alcohol is BYOB. Guides will safely pack and carry what you bring. Cans or plastic only—no glass.

🌊 Do I need rafting experience?

Not at all. The trip is designed for beginners. Expert guides teach you what you need to know, and the route balances calm water with fun Class II–III rapids.

💪 How active do I need to be?

This is an active trip with rafting, walking, light hiking, and moving personal gear around camp. Most hikes are optional. You don’t need to be an athlete—bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and an expectation that you’ll move each day.

💪 How difficult is the paddling?

The route is beginner-friendly. Calm stretches allow you to relax, swim, or paddleboard, while Class II–III rapids add excitement without being overly technical. Your guides will be with you every step of the way.
